A website link from our site
National Debtline is a national telephone helpline for people with debt problems in England, Wales and Scotland. We give expert advice over the telephone and via email and send callers in debt a self-help information pack and associated fact sheets free of charge. The service is free, confidential and independent. National Debtline is part of Money Advice Trust who are a registered charity.
Our policy is to link to websites that provide free services to consumers such as:
- subject relevant helplines
- consumer organisations
- government bodies
- ombudsman and regulatory bodies
- relevant trade associations
- certain organisations that whilst in the commercial sector, offer a particular service to consumers, e.g. some credit reference agencies.
All requests for links from our website will be considered but, as a charity, we do not normally link to websites that charge a fee for their services or sell products other than their own publications.

Most organisations will be welcome to provide a link from their website to National Debtline if they so wish.
